Finally able to reprogram my tpms after a tire rotation. It saves me money because I would have to drive to town to get them done at a tire shop since I could not DIY. After reading the instructions, it was a pretty easy process and took about 10 minutes to do all 4 tires. I am using this on a Chevy truck as the truck will not automatically registers which tpms is in which location. It was easy to connect and tell the tpms which location it was in.
Works well as a TPMS diagnostic tool on my F-150
I picked this up mainly to check on a couple of tire pressure sensors I suspected were going bad. It correctly recognized TPMS on all four wheels of my F-150, and helped me confirm that two of them likely have low batteries — which is exactly what I needed to know before replacing anything.
As a bonus, it also picked up the aftermarket TPMS units on my trailer, so it's handy for RV/towing setups too, not just factory sensors on the tow vehicle.
I also tested it against several of my key fobs, and it correctly read the frequencies on those as well. Didn't need the relearn function this time around, but it's good to know it's there if I ever swap a sensor.
Overall, solid little diagnostic tool for anyone who wants to troubleshoot TPMS issues themselves before paying a shop just to tell you which sensor is dying.
