This has so much potential and useful features that is a great addition to have especially when it comes to diagnosing automotive electrical issues the cables are heavy duty and is super long it has two bright led’s which really helps in darker spaces while using it it seemed to be pretty accurate in measuring the voltage it has a lot of useful functions resistance/diode test multimeter oscilloscope and much more the screen can be used vertically and horizontally it did come with two tips a larger multipurpose and a thin back prob tip that arrived broken so I wasn’t able to use that tip which brings me to my dislikes the build quality feels like a very light plastic which concerns me with the durability in the event it is dropped it may break I really think it should’ve been made more durable with better materials this is fairly large which makes this hard to use in tight spaces and the build quality could have been better function wise it is great build wise could use work so for that I think for the price it is on the higher side and would have thought they would’ve used better materials that are more durable

Great tool for electrical troubleshooting! The power cable extension allows you to test circuits anywhere on the vehicle. The high/low voltage hold is invaluable when chasing gremlins in your system. If you do any vehicle electrical work, you need one of these! It comes with a great probing tip and another tip that fits well in electrical connectors. I’m sure there are problems that this tool can’t find, but I have solved every problem that I have checked so far! Great value and highly recommended!

I think I was expecting something more similar to a standard meter, this is very specialized to troubleshooting issues with injectors and ignition problems. What I wasn't crazy about is that it does not have it's own power built in, but needs to be hooked up to the battery just to light up. I think it would be a handier tool if you didnt have to have a long cable always attached to the vehicle battery. That kinda limits it to just working under the hood. Otherwise it looks to be well built and has a complete set of leads.

I love this thing! I've been wanting one of these for quite a while and haven't had a really good use case for justifying buying one, but I finally did. Backup camera and wanted to tie into power and grounds, and I was able to use this to find ones that were live at the correct time quickly. It's super versatile and has way more functions than I have even touched on yet, but I'm excited to explore it further. Further. It is really solidly built and has a great instruction manual. I'm weirdly hoping for things to break on my car so I can go fix them!

This is such an amazing tool and if you read through the well-written manual, it will really step-up your diagnostic abilities.My car was throwing a code for a bad camshaft position sensor. With this probe, I could easily verify voltage at the connection and even verify that the sensor was working properly with the built-in oscilloscope! Within minutes, I found that the fault was not actually with the sensor, but with a VVT solenoid. I could also use this probe to apply voltage at a specific current to bench test an old solenoid to make sure it worked before installing it in the car.The kit came with a super long extension cable that allows you to work anywhere around the car, a bunch of different adapters and cables, a nice sharp probe, and a hard case to store it all in.This tool is worth every penny and, had I not received this for free, it would have already paid for itself after just one job.NOTE - you could very easily destroy expensive electronics by overpowering a circuit. Be careful and learn how to use this before you cause yourself a massive headache.

I was installing a rear park assist camera on my vehicle. I need to locate the reverse light wire. The problem was that there was a rat's nest of wires in my trunk with no clear indication of what they were. Every electrical manual for my car indicated different color coding other than what I had. I later realized that there was no consistency with the color coding.... it varied widely; that is where this device comes in REAL HANDY!! I was able to connect the leads to the car battery; then I could manually provide 12v power the camera to make sure it worked and I could also test to see which wire received power when the reverse lights were activated. I could have done some of this with a multimeter but it would have required a lot of extra steps and additional accessories. Much more convenient and efficient using this device.It has a very clear and bright display. A little larger than your typical tester because if the screen and extra features. So, I will only bring this out when it is needed and not for a simple continuity test etc. Tons of built-in functions and features; many of which go beyond my scope of my current skill set. However, this is great tool with clear instructions and tons of tutorials online to learn the different use cases. It has tremendous use cases other than just automotive. Great value and well built.

Some fella used all the big brain cells when putting this kit together, and I am impressed and full of appreciation for the level of detail observed.If you find yourself chasing a wiring gremlin, first off, sorry. Second, hope you have the right tools. Sometimes a cheap multimeter is all you need. Other times, you need to chase a PWM signal. Maybe you need an oscilloscope to see the wave form. What if you are looking for a bad ground? Orca voltage drop at the opposite end of the car? Is your cheap multimeter have the capacity to compare against the reference voltage of the vehicle? This thing can, in color, with enough cable to be at the opposite side of a long van… with a built in flashlight! Pin-out of a connector? Yep, there’s a jumper lead to do that.Today I had a AC compressor that I needed to know if the coil was getting power. Simple test, and sad I didn’t get to use the fancier features yet. But underneath a hot car using 2 clumsy multi-meter probes, or proper pin-out that was still connected that led to the surprise finding that the clutch coil was still energized after the key was pulled. Tell you what, that was a revelation that sent me right to the coolness of the insides to study wiring diagrams.I’m a DIY’er with an electronics background. I tend to do a lot of troubleshooting on new-ish cars and this is a tool I didn’t realize I was missing from my toolbox. If you are learning the new car electronics, you need something like this. It’s a great entry tool into the field with tons of capabilities in a moderate price range. It’s a hand held oscilloscope! Ok. Not an every day toolbox need, but would you rather have a small one in your hand incorporated into a regular use tool or a big cart that collects dirt and dust? Circuit activation? Not a feature found on similar devices on the market. If you need just a voltage or Ω checker, this is way over the top for your needs, but if you need something fancier, give this a gander while comparing features.

This is a feature packed tester that does everything you will probably ever need when investigating an electrical or electronic issue, especially on newer vehicles. It is packed well in a decent storage case, and the extra-long cables mean you can take readings anywhere on your vehicle. The high-def color menu and readout display is terrific, especially easy to see and read for older eyes like mine! I admit to not knowing how to use all this testers’ capabilities, but now that I own it, I will certainly try to learn how, and I do know enough to make this a worthwhile investment.This CT-300 circuit tester will pay for itself many times over as evidenced by my first use, which was locating a short that kept my Ram truck OBD from reading the rear parking sensors. This was easily fixed by ordering a forty-dollar wiring harness. Had I brought this to the dealership, it would have cost me 180 for a diagnostic fee, probably over 200 for the harness, and another 4 to 500 in labor, and lastly the ever popular 35-dollar shop supply fee. Enough said, five stars!!

I picked this up to make my life easier when dealing with car wiring issues and honestly it has been a real helper in the garage, it powers up quickly and the readings are clear without me having to second guess what’s going on, the probe feels solid in the hand and not like those cheap ones that bend or break after a couple of uses, I used it for tracing a short in my tail light wiring and it nailed the problem in minutes which saved me hours of random guessing, the range of 0-80v DC is plenty for most vehicles and it handles both low and higher voltages without hesitation, the build quality feels tough enough to last but it’s not overly bulky so it still fits in tight spots under the dash, the cord length is generous which helps when moving around the car and it doesn’t feel flimsy like some testers I tried before, the LED light is bright so you can see even in dim corners of the engine bay, one thing I noticed is that while it works great, the instructions could have been clearer for beginners, I had to look up a quick video to get comfortable with all its functions, once you get the hang of it though it’s very intuitive, for value of money I’d say it’s worth it because you’re basically getting a tool that can check circuits, fuses, shorts and even power up components for testing without needing multiple devices, in terms of energy level it doesn’t draw much and the probe stays cool during long use, health and safety wise no shocks or strange sparks as long as you use it correctly, size and thickness are right in the sweet spot—not too fat that it won’t slide into narrow gaps, not too thin that it feels fragile, connectivity with clips and probe tip is solid, I tested it on multiple cars and trucks and it didn’t let me down, only real side effect is if you’re not careful with the buttons you might accidentally send power to a circuit you didn’t intend to, so a little learning curve there, but no weight loss magic or anything silly like that, the only area I’d ding it a star is the instructions and maybe the case could have been sturdier, it’s fine for now but I wish it came with a hard protective box instead of the soft packaging, battery life isn’t an issue since it hooks directly to the car battery, so no constant recharging needed, overall this tool has already paid for itself by helping me avoid a shop bill, if you do your own car work this is definitely worth adding to the toolbox.

I think this circuit tester is useful, but as I don't really use this tool in my business or hobbies, only as needed, it's a little more expensive for as little as I need it. But, it does work like it should and is useful.I like that it is compact, and comes in a very handy case to store and transport it as needed.It's easy to use and understand, which was very good for me as someone who doesn't do this type of work very often.

This is a great addition to my automotive workbench. It's just what I needed for automotive electronic troubleshooting. Nice thick and long cables and quality test probes. It comes with a sturdy carry case. It is well built. It's great to have for newer cars or trucks

Did not realize how much I needed this until I got it. If you do any type of wiring, automotive or marine this takes the guess work on finding the wire you need or shorted! Must have! Comes with a sturdy carrying case for easy storage and travel.

This tool came in handy when I had to trace down a short in the car wiring. It’s simple to use and saves me the headache of guessing with a multimeter. The probe feels sturdy and the leads are long enough to reach where I need them. It’s already paid for itself just avoiding mechanic costs. Definitely one of those tools that’s nice to have even if you’re just doing your own light repairs.

This has to be connected to a battery to power on. The probe durability is high, it has thick cables, and a good carrying case. Has a flash light. The oscilloscope works great. Really great for working on ATVs. So far helped me find turn signal wire cut, and repair an ignition cable that was gnarly. It was a FB cheap buy with issues, but thanks to this tool i've been able to restore some function like electric start and turn signal function.

This tool is a must have for an automotive diagnostic technician. It is an excellent addition to the tool box. You do need a fair amount of knowledge about electronics, but if you know what ALL the settings on a DVOM are for and how to properly use then then you should be able to use this tool.

I deal in classic vehicles a lot and you end up with wiring that has been altered by multiple owners over the decades. Good cheaper alternative to a power probe. Great build and nice feeling plastic. Display is bright and very easy to see. This is not touch screen but buttons are very easy to use and navigate. Fuse checks, voltage drops, and powering up motors are very easy to do with this tool. I’ve only used it for those few things but most functions are easy to get to if needed.

I turn wrenches a lot. I own an older Jeep Wrangler, and with Jeeps you either learn to turn wrenches or you go broke, so I went with the former. Once you learn to fix your own car you end up fixing cars for family, which is what I do now. I'm always looking for tools to make it easier, especially with electrical work, so when I saw this listing I had to try it.It arrived in a nice box and contained all of the promised components. Everything was in near-mint condition.This is a really, really cool device! It can be used to find broken circuits and shorts, help determine what wires do what, and diagnose a variety of sensor issues. It has a mutimeter function which I tested with a car battery and seems accurate. It even has an oscilliscope to help test sensor output! I haven't played with the o-scope yet, but as I have some concerns over a few sensors I'm excited to try it.Overall this is a very cool tool to help diagnose electrical issues in a vehicle. I will likely get a LOT of use over the next few years.
